On 24 November, Burberry opened its first Burberry London and Burberry Brit standalone stores, either side of its recently opened Americas headquarters at 444 Madison Avenue in New York.

On 9 November, Burberry launched artofthetrench.com, an evolving celebration of the iconic Burberry trench coat. The site is an ongoing project between Burberry and some of the world’s leading image makers, building a living testament to the trench coat with regular collaborations being announced. For the launch of the site, Burberry Creative Director Christopher Bailey commissioned a collection of photographs of trench coats wearers taken by photographer Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist.

On 22 September, Burberry Creative Director Christopher Bailey and Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts hosted an event to celebrate the 25th anniversary of London Fashion week and the recent opening of the new Burberry global headquarters in London. The event followed the Burberry Prorsum Womenswear Spring/Summer 2010 show which closed London Fashion week.

On 22 September, Burberry closed London Fashion week with the showing of its Burberry Prorsum Womenswear Spring/Summer 2010 collection. The show at the Rootstein Hopkins parade ground at the Chelsea college of Art and Design in Westminster, London celebrated the new Burberry headquarters at Horseferry House in Westminster as well as the 25th anniversary of London Fashion week.

Burberry became the newest addition to the Manhattan skyline on 28 May 2009 when three 50 foot long neon Burberry signs were lit above the new Burberry Americas headquarters at 444 Madison Avenue in New York. The site is one of only six grand fathered signage locations in New York.
